We have 20 local branches across the UK – see the map below for a visual indication of their locations.

Established in 1935, the Aberdeen Branch serves Aberdeen City and Shire. The branch provides a forum for those interested in early years education and care to come together to share, experience and learn about development in the early years sector.

Early Education jointly badges ECHO Bristol events, providing meetings to support practitioners and settings in the Bristol and surrounding areas.

A long-established branch which covers northern Cumbria/Penrith areas. We run a full annual programme of meetings and sessions on a wide variety of early years themes. Our conference in March is always well-attended and provides an opportunity to meet other practitioners from the North-West. Our Branch committee is long-serving and is representative of different early years sectors.

Essex Branch are a new branch covering the large county of Essex, as well as welcoming people from surrounding counties. We are a warm and friendly committee, with a wealth of early years expertise and experience, combined with a great passion to ensure early years remains within the heart of education in Essex.

The Hertfordshire branch covers the large county of Hertfordshire. Members come from primary schools, nursery schools and children’s centres. Meetings are held in different venues across the county.

The Lancaster and Morecambe branch is a relatively recently established branch providing support for the Lancaster and Morecambe area. It is led by a steering group who meet twice a term.

We are a long established branch serving boroughs in Inner and Greater London. We have a supportive and friendly committee who meet twice a term to organise events. Our committee meetings usually take place in the coffee bar at the Royal Festival Hall.

Birmingham branch supports all those working in early childhood education in Birmingham as well as colleagues from neighbouring areas. Information is sent by email to all primary schools, nursery schools/centres as well as private, voluntary and independent early education settings for whom we have contact details. Members receive information by post.

The branch was established over 14 years ago. It has always involved representatives from all providers of early education and care, as well as early years staff from the local authority. From time to time members have also included parents of young children.

Oxfordshire branch was relaunched in 2000. It is an active, lively branch offering the opportunity for all who work with young children to meet, network and engage in professional development opportunities.

The South Yorkshire branch of Early Education (formerly called the Sheffield branch) has been going strong since 2002 and has a large membership and a very committed committee. We have members coming to meetings from Rotherham, Leeds, Huddersfield, Derbyshire and further a-field. We are a lively, energetic group with a passion for making sure that what we do for our young children and their families is the best it can be.

Sunderland branch was re-launched in 2008. There is a small committee of interested early years professionals who meet every six to eight weeks to plan the termly events.
