
Linda Pound
Early Education Associate
Linda Pound is an early years consultant and author. Throughout her working life her passion has been the care and education of young children and their families. She has worked in three universities and was an LEA inspector responsible for the early years for almost ten years. In addition she has been head of a nursery school and deputy head of a primary school. In her current role as an education consultant, she provides training, advice and support for early years practitioners around the country and overseas. Linda writes extensively for a range of audiences. Recent publications include chapters for a number of books including Early Education’s Achieving excellence in the early years: a guide for headteachers. She has recently published a new book entitled Child Development and second editions of bestsellers How Children Learn and Teaching Mathematics Creatively.
