Humour is an essential part of human communication and learning.

This course explores how humour contributes to learning and provides simple, practical ways for practitioners to include it in their work.

Delegates will :

• Learn memorable songs, rhymes and stories that are funny and also how to inject elements of humour to enhance engagement with the material they already know

• Learn how humour relates to creativity and to seeing things differently

• Learn how this material promotes communication and language development as well as addressing  each part of the revised EYFS statutory framework

• Learn ways to enable and encourage children’s own humour and how that enhances their learning

As well as a comprehensive handout, audio recordings of the material in the course will be available to stream free online. Please bring a pair of wooden spoons or sticks (or similar!) to the virtual session.

The webinar will take place on the following dates and times:

Session 1: 4th May, 7pm-8.30pm
Session 2: 11th May, 7pm-8.30pm
