Veronica Lawrence

Veronica Lawrence

Early Education Associate

Veronica is a qualified educational psychologist who has a particular passion in working preventatively with families and practitioners with infants and very young children so that they can begin to appreciate the wonder and fun of living with their children. Many people think that babies don’t do anything: that as long as they are changed, fed and sleep, that is sufficient. What is becoming clear is that babies’ brains grow and develop in accordance with the experiences they have. Babies are primed for interaction. Babies are inspiring. Veronica’s style of working is facilitative, seeking to release creative juices so that people realise their value, become inspired and create change. She currently has shared strategic responsibility for developing early years work within a local authority and with CAMHS focussed on promoting work with the very youngest, their families, practitioners and carers. She has designed and delivered a range of courses in early years, focusing on brain development in babies, emotional health, the Northamptonshire Baby Room Project – training both practitioners and parents- special educational needs and typical development as well as creative team building.
