Caroline Eaton
Early Education Associate
Caroline has had a career in Early Years Education which has spanned over 20 years. She has worked in a wide range of roles including class teaching, bi-lingual support, parent partnership and consultancy. Her pedagogical approach is child-centred and keeping children’s interests and motivations at the forefront of any developments. Her work as an Early Years advisory teacher for several local authorities included running a successful Enabling Environment project “Raising the Ordinary to the Extraordinary”. The project encouraged practitioners to look at their learning environments critically, to develop them according to the interests of the children and on a limited budget, by looking at every-day and open-ended resources. This resulted in a local authority publication and DVD. She provides a range of bespoke training, in a practical manner, which meets the needs of the specific audience and commissioning body. She is currently an independent consultant as well as working on a pilot project “Achieving Early” for Achievement for All. Caroline was EYPP Project lead in our Department for Education funded project and the lead for the Exploring the Wider World Project funded by the Stoke-on-Trent Opportunity Area.
