Gwendolen House Nursery requires a full-time qualified Nursery Practitioner

Gwendolen House Nursery School is a private nursery setting rated as Outstanding, offering part-time and full-time care and education for children aged between three months to five years old for families local to Putney and the wider surrounding areas.


We have a vacancy working with children between the ages of 3 months and 4 years old.

You would:
• provide the children with a safe, stimulating and home-like learning environment
• operate a key person system and liaise with parents, carers and senior staff
• plan, organise and implement a programme of activities to meet the needs of this age group
• work as part of a highly-motivated and professional team

You must:
• hold a minimum of a NVQ 3 in Children’s Care Learning and Development or equivalent qualification
• be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the EYFS and Birth to Three Framework
• be able to promote good practice and provide first class childcare

We are seeking an exceptional candidate for the post of Head of Department.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced academic to work with a talented set of colleagues in a vibrant department that makes a distinctive contribution to the IOE and wider UCL. You will be expected to provide academic leadership in an area relevant to the work of the Department.

You will provide inspirational and strategic leadership for the development of the Department, encouraging the highest quality research and ensuring development of the Department’s teaching and knowledge exchange portfolio. An individual who enjoys working with people, you will have the capacity to inspire, nurture and value every member of the DLL community.

Key Requirements

With demonstrable evidence of academic leadership and a proven ability to lead, develop and motivate colleagues, you will also have a successfully established international research and academic profile, with an extensive track record of high quality publications in early years, primary education and/or global childhoods.
